On Wednesday, one of the worst things that could possibly happen to a comic book geek happened at my LCS: There were no new comics on the shelves. Apparently, a highway flooded in Oregon and Diamond's shipment was delayed. (I googled it, but can't find any news reports, thus the "apparently".) What is a distraught fangirl to do?

2008 ECCC was my first comics convention and I loved it. I'm delighted I was able to go again this year. Not only did I get to meet a_trill (It was wonderful meeting you!) and her friend, silverdeirdre, but it was also a genuine joy to meet many of the folks who bring us comics.
